For over a decade, I’ve worked as a web and brand designer and front-end developer for mission-driven organizations, government agencies, universities, and startups. At The Hatcher Group, I led full-scale website redesigns, developed design systems, mentored junior designers, and collaborated closely with cross-functional teams to deliver work that made an impact.

It started with small website updates—editing buttons and images in WordPress and Drupal. That curiosity led to designing flyers, email newsletters, and eventually building full websites from the ground up. Along the way, I immersed myself in typography, brand identity, UX, and accessibility. I saw how thoughtful design, like good writing, can inform, inspire, and bring people together.

I began my career as a journalist, drawn to the power of storytelling and the importance of clear, engaging communication. But in my first job out of college, I discovered a new medium for storytelling: design.
